It seems the guess is Italy is going to peak in about 2 weeks. So the US a month from now? assuming the US puts in the place the same sort of containment measures as Italy.

anyones guess.... but in the end does it even matter....

I made some long posts today saying worst case scenario US sees 350,000 deaths if nothing is done other than basic quarantine like how you treat a regular flu...

but peaking will happen... China, Korea already shown the pattern.

Very high risk groups will have already been self isolating themselves.

The UK has 4000 cases and hospitals in London are already at breaking point and doctors are catching it from patients now. And non corona virus patients on regular hospital wards are catching it too.

Thats with just 4000 cases. Whats going to happen when it hits 40,000 cases or 400,000, 4 million cases in the UK.

Seems china had the right idea, round up anyone who has it and isolate them off to designated hospitals. Put 100s of millions on lock down quickly and stop them leaving the house..

China did what they had to do. And if the reports are anywhere near true then they beat it. I don’t think America or Britain will take the steps China did. I predict our medical system will be stressed to it’s breaking point and many more will die in America than in China. By May we will know if the hospitals are tapped out. Unless, we get a lucky break and a hot spring and extremely hot summer to help us out, I see no good end to this.

Look, if the reports are true coming out of China then they are the ONLY country I know that has beat this thing in real time except perhaps S. Korea. But, we just ain't gonna take those steps. I don’t see it. On the other hand American ingenuity can work wonders sometimes.

So who is this 2% you are referring too.

I’m over 60 (65) and self-isolating ..well ...not completely...did celebrate my (65th birthday) yesterday with a few family members. Had some freshly caught fish out of the lake which I helped to clean and eat..LOL

This is just a random recent picture from the UK or Italy, those two guys in black, look relatively young, so could have some underlying health problem, or perhaps not. Would they have self locked down if 90% of the rest of the population were free to come and go. And even if they did, you can bet someone from the 90% would have infected them anyway as they dont look high risk.

Young people also get cancer, crash cars and die, its rare, but its rare so don't immediately think it'll happen to you and panic.

I would like to say my condolences to the 1650 average day that have died in the UK today, as everyone 8s so worried about the 36, to put into perspective.
