“I think there is more of a chance of missing some that are really coronavirus deaths that are not being counted,” Fauci told NBC. “But I don’t think that number is significant enough to really substantially modify the trends that we are seeing, at all.”

Yeah, GWB tried pushing this a week or two ago. How do you know if last year is an accurate baseline? All you know is that there are more deaths this year than last.

You'd also have to do this by demographic category to pull out some usefulness.

This is just common sense. Compare those states with warmer weather like California vs New York with cold weather. Viruses thrive in the cold. India which has how many people, 1 billion is very dense but, also, hot and humid. Compare the actual number of deaths vs the US. Now, these are doctors saying it but, they are being pressured to classify practically, all deaths as Corona Virus related deaths. Other doctors criticize other doctors for doing so, why classify someone who died from cancer for instance, as having died from Corona Virus even that might be a contributary factor? Corona Virus did not kill that patient. Yes, Doctor Birx is right, Corona Virus deaths are being inflated to further a narrative and keep the economy shutdown purposely.
