Meanwhile, there's absolutely NOTHING in that e-mail about how to download NT8 and install it on a computer. It's about backup/restore your old shit, which is so straightforward to anyone with a few months of working with computers it should make them blush.

To obtain the download link you'll need to login to the client portal, though this can be done with any username/account you generate. (including a demo account).

Once you are logged in, click on 'download' in the lower left of the page, then navigate to the top right of the page where it says 'prior releases'. Clicking download here will download/install this version of the platform you are referring to.

Although when I had tried to create a new account for this purpose, it sent me to a promotional page and not a "USER_PASSWORD" setup. I'll try again later but this whole thing is pretty byzantine for a company in business as long as Ninja.

Once everything works, this latest version and complete new approach is better for me.
Since I was forced to go to the new approach everything is fine. Once I got used to it, it became a real improvement.

I have not given up on it as yet, I've used NT for a long time, am used to it and it does everything I need...which is not complex. I was caught in an endless loop of going nowhere the other week, it may have been a temporary glitch by either NT or the user. I am traveling now but will give it another go when I get back to my other machines.
