Yes, ET is great place to learn trading. As I have said many times, everything I learned about trading I learned from ET.

Yea so I don't have an edge and just lose money constantly. Execution is solid, psychology decent, edge is poop.
Looking to just put some cash in longer term spots. VOO will probably get a portion of it but where else should I look? Any book or resource recommendations on liquid allocation? Not really interested in single company investments.
S&P made around 25% last year...did your trading account do better? Legit question if anyone outside of maybe Des and a few others are generating alpha....if my tradong account would have grown 25% last year I'd be pumped.
Thanks.

Someone a bit similar to you was recently booted, permanently, for lying. His transgression was saying one thing, and then editing his posts to say another, to fit a narrative of profitability. His name was vincentnyc. Baron challenged him on it, and Vince just...Oh man, that was funnily horrible.
The problem with people of his ilk, and yours, is that you say and say and say, but never show. I have shown and will always show. Win, lose or draw.
You on the other hand, do not show. You just talk.
And talk.
And talk.
I can do the same, but what is the point?
I once started a sim journal in the Psycho section, and asked people to join and post their sim blotters there, for shits and giggles. Nobody did. Why? Because it is pointless to pontificate sim wins/losses. That's why I post only real trades in my journal, in the journal section here.
*sighs* Your fate is in your hands. It has an associated song, too.
Hello ondafringe,
I have programmed about 133 algos in NT8 just testing trading ideas.
I am not sure why in need to lie about programming algos. Nothing to brag about honestly cause out of the 133, I think about 9 of them showed in potential back test. And the one I run last year actually lost money to my surprise.
Back testing for Edge, IMO, is ALOT of work. One algo is not enough.

Hello ondafringe,Okay, I'll give you the benefit of the doubt about being able to code your own NT algos. BTW, I've coded my fair share of algos, as well. And it is a lot of work.
There isn't a programmer on earth, not even a beginning programmer, who would mistakenly refer to "C#" as "#C". Yet, as I recall, you have called it "#C" about four times. And that can't be a typo because those two keys aren't even close to each other.
That's what I meant when I said "Self-Immolation" in response to your "#C" mistake because, to me, you set yourself on fire and pretty much torched your "I'm a programmer" claim.
margorp !dlroW olleH //
dlroWolleH ecapseman
{
{ olleH ssalc
)sgra ][gnirts(niaM diov citats
{
;)"!aixelsyD olleH"(eniLetirW.elosnoC.metsyS
}
}
}

There is a #C language, and here is a trivial program:
Code:margorp !dlroW olleH // dlroWolleH ecapseman { { olleH ssalc )sgra ][gnirts(niaM diov citats { ;)"!aixelsyD olleH"(eniLetirW.elosnoC.metsyS } } }
I admit I don't know much about #C, so I had to translate from C#.![]()

A heads up!I'm also a crappy trader. I've a bit more left but DD is huge. Realistically we're in an era of ML/AI, I've a feeling a select few are cornering the market and the rest will have nothing. Has happened before in smaller markets.
If you don't have a PhD level data science background, I'm not sure there's any point in trading.
I will keep grinding away a bit more but I rarely get filled on the bread & butter trades anymore.
