Down to about $90k, where would you park it if your trading skills were trash?

This is how it goes, so in 2018 SimpleMeLike was a failed Top Step Trader "Great work Spectre, I tried to pass the TST like 4 times 8 months ago. I was not able to, must do to my own faults. Now I am programming strategies in NT8 to test some ideas. I am also day trading in the morning in demo to see if I can make about $15K before trying TST again manually trading. So I will either pass TST manually or with an automated system. lol. it is very challenging."

Was then using NinjaTrader in 2022 (seriously does anyone really use this anymore) and have 2 out of 30 working algos, apparently, no one pays $20k for algos, and they definitely don't for NinjaTrader, and definitely not with only one to two years trade history, when you have context it's easy to see.
Perhaps you are trying to tell us he is a failed trader because he failed in the past?

I acknowledge and am glad you are different, very successful from the get go. Congratulations.

From what you described, to me he demonstrated persistence, hard work, a keep at it type of guy, one who after years of failures, had an aha moment and reached the other side. Give me any successful trader and I bet you everyone of them has a similar story to tell.

I have been at it since 2010, I know the hard work, the sweat, the failures and disappointments. Even now after 14 years I still believe it is pure luck and not skills that got me there. Let's not forget we are in a period of unusual long bull runs and everyone is elite in a raging bull market.

Peace and wish you continue success.

Can you share details about your amazing turnaround?
Hello NoahA,

There is a lot I can say, however, it would lead to a lot of typing. And I have explained everything in all my posts on ET forum. I have even shared a month of trades where I made $1000 per day on previous posts. I have even post algos on this same thread making millions of dollars. I recently sold 3 algos as well.

Out of the numerous things that help me, here is one task I do, I really enjoy everyday:

1. Everyday at 4pm central, count or estimate the number of ticks executed in the ES futures market the past 23 hours.
2. Multiply that number by $12.50.
3. Be extremely disappointed and angry in/at myself, if I did not make any percentage of the dollar amount at step 2.
4. Repeat step 1 through 3 everyday.

As I have stated everyday on ET forum, trading the ES futures market is EXTREMELY easy, you just need to do what Engineers do for a living to make it easy. Engineers do not run from problems, they solve problems with precise permanent corrective actions.

In a nutshell, make uncertainty certain through desperation. SimpleMeLike

I can attest to that!
When you are desperate, starving, stressed, you mean business to get the answers, you'll find a way.

One of my favourites, if I'm in a tight spot, begin fasting!
It increases the stress and the brain kicks into overdrive.

Thank-you for taking the time to explain, but I'm not sure if it makes any sense. Nobody trading the ES will say its easy, and desperation for something rarely turns out well. (ie. Women desperate for money turn to porn and it all goes downhill) Being mad at yourself for not making a certain percentage of a daily move is in no way a trading strategy.

It honestly sounds to me like you are somehow coping hard, or trying to put on a winning attitude in order to force a positive change, or to join all the scammers here by just talking a certain way without having to provide any proof.

If you truly somehow went from being a losing trader after years, to a winning trader and turned things around on a dime, then congratulations, but everything you write above makes me think you fell off the deep end and you are trolling everyone.

He never posted a blotter with trades, best I can recall. He said quite simply that he went from being a trading loser of X, to being an ES trading master winner, making Y.

X+Y+Z (Z being any number, real or imagined) = zero in sim, whether it is paper trading an account, or trading in his mind.

How do these kids do it on Reddit?

“AMD Shares ($2900 > $4400) FDX Puts ($4400 -> $27000) NKE Puts ($27000 -> $58000) COIN Calls ($52000 -> $21000) NFLX Calls ($21000 -> $61000) TSLA Puts ($61000 -> $173000)”

Went 4/4 on earnings.

I’m smart enough to realize I just got incredibly lucky so I’m going to just buy shares with this money and say goodbye to options.

I took out $6000 to my RothIRA so I could justify to myself for full porting
