my first boss couldn’t trade his way out of a paper bag, but he he understood the complexity of markets and had vision. He ultimately became management at some tier 1 hedge funds and endowments.

Most of us here don't need help with management. We have no employees... LOL. I wouldn't even use a psychology coach if they didn't have experience in the markets and were at least somewhat profitable.

Let me ask you this. Would you ask a virgin gynecologist how to pleasure a woman? Sure, he could show you where the nerve receptors are and hence where to stimulate, but I doubt he would be very much help if he was a virgin himself... LOL

Why do I want to let someone on ET gain access to my account? What benefits do I get vs what the risks I incurred for exposing my expertise & net worth? Just so the whole world knows I am good?

Successful traders normally keep it to themself (I found one by accident the other day) unless they want to sell something to the public?

Because then you don't have to argue and people will give you more respect. Do you think a guy who is clearly ripped would get picked on in school or attacked at the mall? You get instant respect.

You can consider becoming a trading mentor so you don't waste your trading knowledge. Less pressure and riskfree too. But you have to be great at sales and marketing of course.

But 40k is hardly an expensive tuition. decade ago when there's no micro contract, newb could lost this amount in just couple weeks. If you like to continue, maybe start over by trading some micro contracts and work you way up.

You are correct. $40k is a small loss.

I know a few people personally that loss between $300K to $1million.

I know someone lost $1 million last year with that options stuff.

Yea so I don't have an edge and just lose money constantly. Execution is solid, psychology decent, edge is poop.

Looking to just put some cash in longer term spots. VOO will probably get a portion of it but where else should I look? Any book or resource recommendations on liquid allocation? Not really interested in single company investments.

S&P made around 25% last year...did your trading account do better? Legit question if anyone outside of maybe Des and a few others are generating alpha....if my tradong account would have grown 25% last year I'd be pumped.

Maybe you can use funded services to earn a funded account? I also try this way before as well and learned alot this way.

This way you do not have to risk your savings account money until you have confidence in your trading abilities.

Hello ironchef,

Noone will ever share how they are making a living and feeding their family every year from solely trading income.

Therefore, there is nothing to prove, because anyone making Serious money trading to survive and get wealthy and retire will not tell you or I anything about how they trade.

ET forum is for entertainment and trading ideas if needed and getting free help.

If you show your exact trade results and entries, people will steal your trading edge, then you have to start over again being poor to find new trading edges.
