Just a reminder to any passersby .....

ET is the best HERD in existence. This is NOT a compliment. :)

The HERD always extrapolates to infinity, therefore never sees a turn coming, then gives a ALL back and then some after the turn and then continues to extrapolate to infinity in the new reversed direction.

This is what they do and have done since biblical times.

I did a seach a few months ago while new at ET to examine just such a premise and took a few of the major tops and bottoms and then read the comments leading upto and into the turns.

Stellar knowledge to be gained by such a devoted study.

Here then is one such example. It is currently the most significant TOP since the Great Depression's 1929 TOP. Now go back and read the comments of the pros here.

see chart below of how THEY were in Lalaland as the TOP was approaching and doing what they always do = extrapolate to infinity - and then bam .......

even when the weekly uptrendline was broken that didn't seem to bother them one bit, they were in a frenzy to buy!!!!!

I had a great opportunity today to listen and chat with some ex-pros who are now so battered and bruised in the current economy that it confirmed yet another angle re:sentiment and re:those who make it and re: only the tigers survive and even they often have a hard time .....


one concept covers it ALL, namely HAVINGNESS ....

these cats' havingness is so shot up that they can only envision a commission of $150-250 per sale and even that is oftentimes iffy.

They used to easily swallow a $2k-8k comm in the past.

That's a whopper of a hit in Havingness.

And for the uninitiated, Havingness is directly proportional to a being's postulate power, i.e. the internal idea that something is a done deal, for you see, when a person wants to have something, if he can see it clearly IN THE PAST AS A DONE EVENT already with zero efforting, HE CAN HAVE IT = he has it already in the realm of the sp. univ. ... it only takes a bit of time for the event to drop down the goodies onto the physical plane, a lag so to speak.

But that's the process.
 
There are many beautiful things in life but 2 stand out as top-notch, unsurpassed in beauty and both are directly proportional to a being's postulate power ....

1. A one-call closer (life, money, business, sex, marriage, whatever)


2. Calling correctly a market top or bottom.



#1 came naturally to me, but it was cultivated further by theorizing and then application into an eventual and sustained fine wine. :)


#2 .... is happening right here and now; no comments needed here as its clear as day follows night that there's a ways to go yet. :) :) :)
 
Vix just below the 200 m.a. - note that the 200 has leveled off and is almost horizontal = consolidation phase or getting ready to climb aka ascend. In accordance with the coefficient of restitution there must be a momentary pause or stop and then a gathering of speed in the opposite direction. :D :D

We shall see. :)

Corrective moves are hard to read but you know me, always willing to give it my best shot, take the beating if I have to, but be there to challenge him again at the next juncture ....

Your track record is brutal you have no idea how to invest or trade. So you've been short the Dow, short Gold, and short the Euro most of the year. Essentially clueless, you would have smashed through any reasonable stop loss on most of your ideas and/or getting margin calls every month.

Sure, in your fantasy land of pretend trading you can hold forever
because no one will give you a margin call on pretend dollars. And forever is how long you'll be waiting for $250 Gold and 3000 Dow which is what you seem to be forecasting in that dream world of yours.

Go ahead ans swear a blue streak and pontify about all sorts of shit I don't really care. Your totally fked as a trader candidate before you even start. You like to talk about having balls but you don't have any do you ? You don't even have any real skin in the game its all just make believe stupidity. This is obvious because nowhere in your posts do you have any awareness of the real costs to be so totally clueless for so many months.
 
i saved this thread on subscribe so it comes up, recentlyt db, your posts have been so rotten and offensive .i' reluctantly open it, you are mildly above average iq, not enough to warrant your 100 points below avg on social skills,it's obvious that being right is far above being profitable on your 1 to 10 scale,such thinking was or is the mindset of all traders and the was group have learned to discard it long ago or they are no longer trading,i suggest you give up the folly and concentrate on profit,and if trading is not your deal, leave ET alone,there must be an amusement park or video arcade in your neck of the woods

Dow Jones has given the 1H short signal but NO confirmation from S&P, Nas or Nas100.

I wait as per my own new guidelines (see several posts back for details)

Therefore NO trigger pullled yet.
