Stick to your guns DB!

Huge distribution day yesterday. Check charts on variety of high beta names at 2:00.
Syncronized selling. Professional selling. One guy sells and the word gets out.

Now we are in that danger zone when one bottom picks and loses more.

I have one name I like other than that buying nothing.

In 7% cash.~ stoney

The DSI for the S&P 500 index pushed even higher last week to 94%. It is now slightly higher than the April 2010 levels and approaching a 4 year extreme.

S&P500 Daily Sentiment Index (DSI) = 94%

higher than April 26, 2010 top = 4yr extreme.

Yeah but what's the all important wave count, along with all the alternate possibilities of course.

My model is showing a low-volume bull market through the middle of 2011, at least.

I am thinking of just buying Russell 2k, some oil, maybe some gold and just sitting it out.

look at a day like today, now Dow is coming close to positive. let's face it: we're in a bull market, regardless of the fundamentals. btw, who trades on fundamentals these days anway? and a 10yr historical won't tell the story anymore, it's a different market and most valuation models are broken just like most ppl's 401K

Then DO it and post the entries/stops here in realtime.

Everybody in this thread and almost everyone at ET - except for me.

You can always tell who is a "fundamentals" trader by watching how they explain charts and technicals WITH fundamentals.

JSSPMK is the lead steer in this regard.

This hugely dense and highly populated group includes the mantra, "it can't be done, nothing can be known in advance, those who try are foolish, bla bla bla" = opposite of entrepreneurs which is why winners are in short supply aka 5% - in real life and in trading.

Some of these cats talk about the fashionable, Saks fifth Avenue parallel = pure Price Action trading ...... :D :D :D :D :D

almost certain is that not a single one of these cats could take out a hamburger out of a takeout stand.

In any event in real-life I'd just grab their heads and hammer out a SMD.

continuamos with calling the TOP ....

when confirmation of Dow Jones reversal on 1H comes from S&P, Nas and Nas100, I'll call it right away.

That will be for traders only.

For TREND-RIDERS and SURFERS (this is where I reside) I will call this as per the THREAD title which adheres strictly to the Daily timeframe.

Oh yeah?! And who posted predictions on coming deflation? Who is selling gold expecting deflation? Who is selling the Dow expecting deflation?

You...

And you mocked this poster, but he was right & you were wrong.

Sorry for the near double post... But, because what we're seeing is a double bottom, here's where the S&P500, Dow Jones, and the NASDAQ Composite will be heading:

Nah, don't worry about Prechter. When it comes to market timing and/or mistiming I'm perfectly capable of fckin it up by myself, don't need his help. :)

But seriously, I do my own work. I studied under him so yes I was influenced very much. But I'm totally on my own now.

Actually everything in a non-trading sense in my life is geared to the Deflation scenario. If it doesn't happen I lose nothing, but if it occurs, I'm positioned correctly.

Its a wait and see. There is never going to be any certainty in this game. :)

Re: gold as the alternate currency ....

I think in this special case, this will also be a surprise and gold will not be the alternate currency during the upcoming big D.

The 2 champs will be paper, USD and Yen. :)

Contradictionist. So how does one expect deflation looking at a chart?
