Well I hope I'm not the only one-- but that last post from someone pretending to be DB has me very interested. Clearly on several levels those words are not DB's, you don't have to work at the FBI to know that (but it helps to have a friend who profiles serial killers there.)
DB would never start off by saying sorry and not be able to post the same chart over and over as he has from DOW 10,100 to where we are now DOW 10,100... it's been a big circle pattern for DB and all of us. You don't see many spiral patterns in investing which is interesting; there can be no doubt we have been coiling around DOW 10,000 in an ever tighter circle and the result will be quite drastic. It has to.
Drastic Up. India Up China Up Apple Up NFLX up (same reason?)
There has been a topsey tervey relationship between the Challenger & ADP survey & the Gov Payroll Report lately... I feel very strongly the number Fri will be very large. Challenger did say planned firings was sig down....The market will skyrocket that 111 points we talked about from 10,100 so when the dust settles folks will be invested for the next month and will be at that important Fib area of 10,370. Not that much higher from here.
The REAL run will happen when the White House formalizes a tax plan and my dream is that they realize they need to encourage long term investing so a capital Gain tax breakdown like this would work very well.
On holdings of one day. 35%
On holdings 2days to 6 months 30%
On holdings of 6 months to a year 25%
On holdings 1- 3 years 15%
On holdings 5 years or more 10%
This would provide the same overall amount to the government I believe and we could begin to get investing back to what it's supposed to be.
Clarification on taxes- screw the Bush tax cuts... a NEW IDEA is in order; this is what this market needs. If that comes so does 14,000.
Today I'm beating this heat and scooting to Ct. I have a plan; I have the names. I have a backup plan.
