Dose anyone remember?

Dose anyone remember a thread a coupla years ago somewhere here on ET about a hiker who had fallen and some how got his arm stuck under a rock, and had to amputate his own arm with his pocket knife?
Remember the guys name, or anything I could use to find that article about his ordeal?

Many thanks.

( PS it fits with this whole bail out thing)

So basically a big boulder fell on this country and we need to amputate a great deal of it in order to save it.

I like it.

The only problem is that the majority of members we have in congress are trying to amputate the wrong systems and add even worse systems.

Nothing like amputating a leg and having another boulder smash your spine to get the blood flowing in this country again.

"Search efforts that had begun Wednesday evening yielded no signs of the hiker until he walked out of the canyon with two other hikers at about 3 p.m. Thursday".

Does this mean if he had waited a little longer they would of perhaps found him? The search had only began the night before.
