...So the NQ going down to 8000 would be a great buying opportunity to average in.
..

That statement I will agree with. That's an 11%ish drop. However, if it happens to close to the election in November...Uh oh.

Yes, you are absolutely right with what you describe, so at least we have the mechanics right.

Now here is the thing with all of this. What has to be happening in the world where the NQ goes from 9000 down to 7000? Remember, dozu has personally guaranteed your trade! LOL... but all kidding aside, the FED is basically propping all of this up. This is the whole point of this trade.

When most people blow up its because they don't have margin, as you point out, but its because they are trading 1 NQ contract with 10k, not 1 mNQ. Its like trading 1 NQ with a 1k account.

I wouldn't suggest doing this 10 years ago, but the market now is a rigged market. For a 50% drop to happen, there are much bigger problems than your lost 10k account. Will it sometime in the future drop 50%? Yes, I think so, but not tomorrow, or next week, or next month. When you see reports of the FED giving hedge funds money, you know they will paper over any issue going forward. So the NQ going down to 8000 would be a great buying opportunity to average in.

Now I do for sure think that buying now will mean sitting through some kind of drawdown, but I do fully believe the markets will be saved and hit a new high.

that's the whole point of this thread.... although from a slightly different angle... the Fed is no doubt the big factor.... my angle is slightly different (the public sentiment)... but no matter how you look at it it's a sure fire trade.

since @Overnight started 4 years ago I don't blame him, that's not long enough to have a clear view.

I have been in this game for 20 years thru 2 major bull bear cycles.... this f game is the most challenging, but also so addictive.

A 2000 point NQ drop is barely over 20%. Does nobody here have any memory?

Is everyone here numb to the fragility of this market? You folks better pray Trump wins in November.

You admitted you are a non-trader. So which is it? Do you trade or not? I post my real trades in my journal. Do you post real trades in your oft-touted "trading is easy" thread? I forget.

To answer your question, I started real trading in 2015. Sorry, I forgot you asked that question in this silly line of questioning.

you are so hopeless.... the most important ability in trading is READING PEOPLE... and you can't even read if I trade.

the way you think makes sense to me now... it's fairly normal for a 4 year old trader... lol... don't take it the wrong way.... I can kinda remember when I had 4 years of experience, although my starting point was easier, shorting the 2000 bubble pop and it was going straight down like every day.

I don't trade with or against people. I trade what I see on the charts, and what I feel the market is going to do in the future. Which is why I trade futures.

Dozu, you say you have been doing this for 20 years? Well, then tell us why @schizo is wrong!

QQQ to the moon!?

I appreciate that you understand my perspective. I do not have the huge recession in my rear-view. All I have is the China Yuan funny business from Aug 2015 as my first major market-moving event.

schizo wrong what?

anyway, please consider this idea - trade the people first, chart second.

I used to think this way, everything is on the chart, price action etc...until I came up with my own brand of Situational Analysis (R) and that was the eureka moment.... if you only trade the chart you leave so much on the table.

Price action alone simply isn't that good a tool, lots of ambiguity, lots of manipulation head fake etc.... you get some rare chances in a year perhaps you can read some good results, but in a slow bull grind price action is fairly close to useless... and you know I am right.

this is a people's game isn't it, seriously if you trade the people if will vastly enhance your weaponry.

schizo wrong what?...
If you look around, Skitsy is calling today as a market top, and we're doomed from here. *shrugs* look around, you'll find his posts...

I do not look at my charts and see "people". I really do not. All I see is algos and bullshit. I am not trading against or with anyone or thing. I am just trading the movement, and "feeling"

well I don't read every ET post lol... honestly I started this thread because I am not seeing anything interesting lately.

well algos and bullshit in the short time frame.. I am talking about trading the main street people, that is where the real dumb money is! well, the traders are fairly dumb too but those guys also try to rob your money so in the short time frame it's just a gigantic cluster f where nobody is getting nowhere fast..... main street is where the big money is! just look at past big movements, in the US and overseas, main street money drives big bubbles and big crashes and catch a couple of those you are set for life... see my other posts about catching super cycles.

bed time..
