The best part of the article is that Obama blamed the gaffe on a lack of sleep, which has the be the most pathetic excuse ever. He also blames his age when he is in fact the among youngest person to run for president. I hope this is the first of many more screw ups.
 
He has an odd way of "uniting" us. Will he turn into Hugo Chavez in office? With neighborhood thug squads to intimidate opponents? This is the guy who sat listening to Rev. Wright for 20 years.

I agree with Thomas Sowell' s observation. You have to marvel at how Obama has magically become the candidate who is supposed to embody the exact opposite of everything he has done for most of his adult life. Unite us? He contributed his own and considerable sums of taxpayer money to some of the worst racist demagouges in America. A "new" kind of politics? From the guy who ran errands for convicted influence peddler Tony Rezko? Who has the most leftwing voting record in the Senate? Who has dredged up the most moth-eaten form of hate the rich, class envy rhetoric? Whose policies include a collection of failed leftwing nostrums from the Jimmy Carter era, like "windfall" profits taxes on oil companies?

What's next? Polyester leisure suits, platform shoes and disco? Or gas lines, a 55 MPH national speed limit and rationing?
