Well, that is the problem. The output has stayed stable because new capacity has not been built. So rather than build more capacity the plan has just been to import additional gas and other oil products from other countries. That way the progressives avoid building or expanding new refineries but the consumer still gets satisfied because incremental demand is met by importing above the base amount being produced by the old refineries.
So that underlying exposure gets covered up in the short term. In the long run, you wake up some day and find that the incremental imported amount comes primarily from Russia and it is no longer there. WOMP!
Well I see now you’re poking around looking for something to be right about since your regulations argument turned out to be nonsense.
I don’t know what Biden’s plan is in refinery capacity. I know we are pumping out near capacity right now though with capacity slightly down overall (low idle). We are pretty tight though and going forward there is not much market incentive to invest in refineries. I think next year is when the most people in the oil industry see the consumption drop off point as coming.
And there we have it. The Comrade pleads ignorance rather than get cornered into addressing the embarrassment of the facts.
We know that Biden has a green energy plan because carries notes with him and sticks that plan up everyone's arse regardless of what the question. And anyone in the country who can sit up and take fluids knows that his plan includes bringing the development of any fossil fuel related products to a screeching halt and to absolutley kill any further investment or public policy plan that would lead the private sector to make long term investments in an area that the government but is actively committed to killing.
But know the Comrade conveniently states that he does not know about Biden's plans in such areas all while he and his ilk assert that everything is being done to get us out the pickle we are in because we are dependent on fossil fuels, even though their plan said we should not be.

Show me my quote on the regulations argument so that I can respond to what your issue is. Although excessive regulatory burden is definitely an issue in regard to fossil fuel development- oil, gas, coal etc. Just don't know what you are talking about specifically.

Refineries are regulated to death. Biden's oil production is just a stop after Trump. The breaks are on. The inertia keeps it temporarily. Why did we stop? We know the answer. UsualName, you can manipulate the numbers in whatever way you like. It is just a manipulation.
