Don't have a filling come out

Holy f***, a filling came out and I can't get into a dentist. They told me take some Advil and Tylenol and I'm on the contact list when they reopen. I've broken 3 ribs, punctured my lung, broke my collar bone in 2 places, had 3 concussions, and a list of other fun things. I'd rather have all that at once than the pain from this mother f****** tooth!
I know they have shields and masks they were wearing before this virus horseshit, why the hell can't they work now?
 
Same here. Been dealing with the same thing for a month.

My dentist told me, "You can come in and I will look at it, but we are prohibited by Covid restrictions from actually doing any work to fix it."

Had that happen once. I was offshore, middle of Pacific and 10 days away from a dentist. I tried everything. What gave me relief was brushing the tooth, getting down into the hole with listerine ANTISEPTIC. It numbed the nerve somehow. It was hours of relief before I had to repeat. Dentist didn't understand it either. Give it a shot.
 
I'll give it a try. They told me to grab some temporary fill at Walgreens. So far it is completely useless. I guess it keeps food from getting down in there, but definitively nothing else. I usually have a fairly good pain tolerance, but this is kicking my butt.
They wouldn't even see me here.
 
CLOVE OIL is a fantastic tooth pain killer, trust me, seriously. Most local pharmacies or drugstores like Walgreens cvs etc have it. It's been a lifesaver.

Right re temp filling kit at drugstore too.

Great reminder, I just ordered a bottle on Amazon just in case I or family need it

Amazon probably have a dentex repair kit. I never used one but I heard of them in the UK.

I had to do a couple of temp fillings in the middle of nowhere myself, if you can see the problem it is not difficult. All I had was superglue and putty to cover it so the taste was not too bad.. And only breathe of course, don't use superglue though, could easily have glued my tongue to itself. :)

The temporary filling material hasn't really seemed to do much, but I suppose it at least offers protection. When the Advil/Tylenol combo hasn't worked I've been using an ice pack on my jaw in the area and that at least offers short term relief. The Listerine does also offer some short term relief as you suggested. Thank you.
I hate to call it an emergency to get in as I'm sure there is worse, but if the pain is the same tomorrow I'm going to call again to see if they have an idea of when they can open to take a look. I did check out a couple of friend recommended dentists, and they are all in the same boat and not open at this point.

My dentist said that if it was an emergency like a root canal or something, he can only refer out to a specialist but can't do the work himself.
