One of the notable losers last night was Congressman Dave Brat of Virginia. Brat was probably Trump's biggest supporter in the House. He famously defeated RINO sellout and House Maj. Leader Eric Cantor in the primary in 2014 running against amnesty for illegal aliens, something pushed by Ryan and Cantor despite its unpopularity among actual republican voters.

The republican establishment in Virginia struck back at Brat by redistricting him and pulling his base out of his district. He was defeated by a far left democrat, Abigail Spanberger, who had defended MS13, endorsed sanctuary cities and taught at a radical Islamic school. Like the NeverTrumpers who were prepared to see Hillary Clinton appoint four or five Supreme Court justices (that means you George Will) and open our borders even wider, the Virginia republican party grandees handed over a seat just to spite the guy who defeated their boy Cantor.

In fairness, life came at them more quickly than they were prepared to respond. Trump radically changed what it meant to be a conservative. The base woke up and realized we had been fed a load of bull on a lot of issues and that these assholes were trying to replace us with immigrants.

Why not? Maxine Waters was called the most corrupt congressperson, Diane Feinstein had a Chinese spy as an aide for 20 years as her husband made a fortune in China, Hillary Clinton...even her own supporters know she is utterly corrupt.

I don't really know that he is a conservative. I think he really took his court promises seriously so I respect him for that and the fortitude he showed at the height of the storm against Kavanagh. But, he did not side with the Freedom Caucus when he should have.
