Today is Monday, July 23rd, 2007 at Approx 3:30 PM and AAPL currently trading right around $143.73

That is all I got to say...
 
That is interesting, and not saying you are wrong, but a fairly reliable and safe strategy based on MACD, ADX and volume analysis suggested getting in at 6/25/07 11:00 at 123.82 and getting out just now 7/23/07 3:00 at 143.57. Obviously such a strategy can't take into account any news but only price action and volume.
Perhaps you are privy to some earnings play on July 25th, reporting after market close?
 
Sometimes macd, adx and volume doesn't lie. Nothing magical except some were privy to the news early and it was reflected in the selling price action.

Today is Tuesday, July 24th, 2007 after the Close and AAPL is:
Last Trade: 134.89

Good Job buying the top!
 
To buy into or short into any "earnings". Not the smartest strag.

One should have positions going into earingings possibly, longer term trade.

I did buy apple, today, at a good price, after earings.
