Calm down folks. This Covid-19 virus is just another virus. Nothing special. Yes, some governments/cities/states are making a big deal out of it. They are mistaken and brainwashed by what they see others do. (Like the toilet paper hoarders).

Tests are being done on high volume areas and that is making it seem like Covid-19 is an out of the ordinary high rate death virus. I assure you, this is not the case and this whole thing will blow over fairly quickly.

You make some good points except for the part about stocks. They are probably oversold at this point, but these draconian measures governments around the world have taken will cause real economic damage and that needs to be reflected in the market. What is fair value? It is hard to say, we have not been down this path yet.

We can buy as many respirators as we need, no previous spending has reduced our capabilities to spend money on respirators. Congress are salaried employees so they did not get bonuses for impeachment trials or overtime.
