Don's Openings Pt. 2

IB went down right on the open. OPG orders were self cancelling as they should, got 3 fills, and then quotes stopped, cancel confirms stopped coming in.

All three positions were going my way, and I put in orders to close-orders did not confirm as received, but they filled ever so slowly. Got decent fills on two of them, the lag cost me a dime on one.

3 wins, +8 +4 +10 net after commission total 22 cents.
 
3 fills, 2 winners, 1 loser. -3, +6, +26.
Tell me something guys...did anybody notice the eminis tank like 3 minutes before the open and worry that our FV calculations are going to be screwed up? Does anybody have a way to take this into account and adjust accordingly so close to the open? I went back and did the calculations, and there were discrepancies up to 10-12 cents. I know I should have automated order entry but I'm not there yet. Thanks.
 
I also saw the 3-4 point drop in e-minis this morning. So I closed out all orders to be able to adjust the FV. Didn't help though, no major winners on my list today except 1 paper stock. From my watchlist though there were some good plays, check out NKE, IGT, EP, MU (looser since downgrade came in), AXP. Later,

Good point!! Be sure that we double check the futures just before the opening. I adjusted mine as well this morning.
 
What does everyone use to calculate the premium O/U FV? The SP 500 futures contract or the e mini's? I've been using the S&P.

Appreciate any help on ths.
