Don's Openings, Part 6 2003

13 fills:
8 wins
5 losses
avg profit = 8 cents/share

Some people have asked why I put up cents/share instead of my total profit. This is because I'm more interested in showing that the process works, than talking about how much I make. But you can do the math for yourself:
If those were 100 share trades:
100 shares * 13 positions * 8 cents = $104
If those were 1000 share trades:
100 shares * 13 positions * 8 cents = $1040
If those were 2000 share trades (ala Don):
100 shares * 13 positions * 8 cents = $2080

The thing I would like to say about this morning is I'm proud of the fact that I didn't let anything go against me more than 8 cents and my best profit was 33 cents (and at that one, left 15 cents on the table!).

Cash your math is off...

If those were 1000 share trades:
100 shares * 13 positions * 8 cents = $1040
s/b 1000 shares * 13 positions * 8 cents = $1040

If those were 2000 share trades (ala Don):
100 shares * 13 positions * 8 cents = $2080
s/b 2000 shares * 13 positions * .08 = $2080

Thanks Robert, I was a little too quick on the cut and paste!

OK,

15 fills:
8 winners
7 losers
avg 3 cents/share gross profit

No outstanding rapes. Left a little bit on the table with a couple cause I had to take care of other business. Took losses a little bit quicker which I'm sure made today a winning day instead of a losing day.

Main mistake: when I heard the news about AMAT, I should have taken the semis out of the mix, however, I made nearly as much as I lost on them.

Are you exiting on P&L or trying to watch each position individually?

Thanks.

I'm doing it out of the P&L. My results would definitely be better if I watched each position. But there are really too many to watch. I'm working on my automation component to watch them for me. (as time allows)
