Got a little beaten up today...

Got these 5 REAL QUICK.. cancelled the rest. Don't know if that helped or hurt yet.

SAP, long... -.04

ESV, long... -.05

NOK, long... +.22

MON, short... -.15

MO, short... -.14 Now where the heck are those darn smokers when you need them.. ??

Will hit it again tomorrow.
 
Modest success today.

KMX, long... +.25

PPL, long... +.26

ONE, long... -.12, always somebody that doesn't get the word..

Missed some good ones by widening the envelopes on news. Dang it is hard to judge how news is going to effect things. Sometimes minor news tanks/soars a stock big time. Sometimes the baddest/best news doesn't move it at all.

What to do..??

shorted PG +.36, covered, then ran back up 40-50 cents then really puked.

shook out of MRK -.05 (had news on guidance/futures up/biotechs strong) didn't want gap up after broke open.

just missed shorting KRB by 4 cents and LLY by 8 cents.

bot some NEM, AU after open for nice trades and shorted SCH
 
Good day today, LEH and AOL is all I got filled on, made $1400 (70 cents). Yesterday was a struggle, lost $950...I, too, was stubborn with MRK.

filled on MWD, JPM, TGT, AXP all winners. but gave them away.

also bid for gold and bot MDG, ASL = good winners. MDG gapped up 30 cents or so after opening up only 3 cents.


+ 600 on 8000 shrs. should've donw better.

OK opening... gave some away again..

VOD, long... -.05, didn't show much sign of going up at first.

JPM, long... +.16, early wiggle got me nervious..

FE, short... +.26, was happy to get a quick spike down

NEM, short... -.05, adjusted my price according to Opening Indications, stil wasn't enough. Got rid of it pretty quick.

Both JPM and VOD turned out to be great in time, but....

2 Shorts today.

SO, short -.04, started the right way, then quickly reversed.

ESV, short.. +.25, put in the order, had it waiting. Good thing too.

Can't complain.
 
1 for 3 today....rough start for the week. Down $240 (12 cents).

So far today....it seems like an odd "lull before the storm"....oddly quiet.....we'll see what happens at 2PM EST.
