I think Don Bright would argue with you on that one.

You can just as easily learn by success as failure.

All we learn by failure....is that we are not listening to those who are doing it right when they advise us.

See, Don has a system, and if people are emotionally equipped, properly funded, have the discipline, maturity, are not stubborn, have no issues with authority figures, begin the learning process like a sponge----absorbing the wisdom of others----rather than thinking they know it all in the beginning----they can and do succeed.

Have any doubts on that? Just ask Don.

Now, when little Aphie Boy signs up for your boot camp and the tough drill instructor that you are turns this boy into a man, I fully expect my 10% cut of his commissions as a bird dog fee.

Don,
have you found that when the opening (premarket S&P) is +-2.00 that there's not sufficient volitility to make the effort worth while?

or should one plan on participating irrespective of the premarket S&P?

I do this every day, no matter what. When we have a small S&P disparity, we may still have a single stock excess that will give us the edge. I simply use a more narrow envelope on "flat" days.

Today: Monday 6 for 7 + $1850 (92 cents).

Take care

Hey, this board provides a way to stay "balanced" in an unbalanced world. Besides most of the guys are ok, they just like to play a bit. I will never turn to the "dark side"....

Don

so, here are some questions:

1) how many stocks did you put orders in on? 7?, or only got filled on 6 out of 7?

2) are these consistently the same, or news based stocks?
3) heard about traders at Bright, that trade over 100 various stocks on open, is this more preferrable to trading the same ones and developing knowledge about them?
4) $1,850 takes time to develop, were you in size (i.e. 1000shs, 2500 shs, 5000shs per) or did you hold long time (past 9:56am EST?)
5) how long a holding time do you suggest?
