Don's Openings, Part 5

Took a loss today on the opening, about -$800 (40 cents).

Kept on trading and got back into the profit zone, and had to stop ( trying to get ready for my trip to Curacao and Aruba --Blackjack time!!).

Cash Coyne is presenting some cool stuff for remote traders. Bob and I will be there as well.

I'm actually going to be there a bit early (Nov 20th) in case anyone wants to get together to chat about trading.

Good. .8 worked well. Filled on 8, 6 winners, 2 small losers. +$1400 (70 cents).

Surprise fill on AOL this morning. It was indicated lower, and actually opened up a bit, and gave a quick 18 cents. A good example of why we put in both sides of the orders every morning.

I will be leaving Friday, but will try to do openings next week from Aruba and Curacao. We actually have some good traders there (Curacao), and will hopefully be able to trade the open from the island.

We haven't been away for quite a while, so I figured I'd have my "casino host" here in Vegas set me up with some comp nights on the islands, play some cards, do some diving (it's been a while, I was certified in 1971, but haven't "gone down" in a while)....

One of our traders has graciously offered to pick us up at the airport and show us around....and show me some possible Bright Trading office locations....who know, maybe a boutique location would be cool...if there is adequate connectivity.

went my way for about +.40, then started backing up. Good thing I took my small bit and ran..

long HOT.. +.40
eventually went higher, but I can't complain.

Good Tony, it seems that you are getting more consistent with the openings.....and that's great!!

Wednesday. 4 for 6, but lost 2 bucks (1 cent, $2.00 total money), PFE and BMY were tough this morning. IBM, TXN, FRE, and CCU were fine.

Trying to be neutral before the Fed meeting and announcements today. The market is counting on .25, and we'll see movement if we go to .50 or zero.

1 more day before Curacao and Aruba!

Hi Don,

What did you do with BMY and PFE? I put in a "slingshot" order in PFE at 33.12. Next time I had a look at it it was trading at 34!! Covered my short with 35 cents in loss in PFE on the way back. I also lost 20 in BMY, lost 35 cents overall.
