You need to take into consideration the beta of the stock, the sector pre-markets, news, and all of the normal data before submitting orders.

Don what do you use for sector pre-markets?

Thanks
Dustin

I use the Redi opening indications (sorted by sectors) to get a good idea of where the $$ is going at the opening. This helps in determining my envelope for that sector.

3 for 3 today, small gain ($530). Should have made more $$ in MRK today, I made 10 cents, my brother held on and made 50 cents. (darn older brother!).
:)

Don is this automated software made available to all of Bright's traders? If so, is it totally customizeable to each individual?

Sorry if this has been answered already...

We pass out the latest versions of the automated programs at the advanced (1 day) class (free) to Bright Traders, along with current results. Each program can be customized by the user. We will be making a version available for the "Bright-at-Home" traders when we roll at that platform as well.

Don, how about a little wisdom on trade management. The Edge would have been stopped out on this trade using a straight .25 stop. (short at 59.60 out at 59.85) It's also easy to see how you could have made a .10 profit anytime after the high at 59.85 was made. You got a break to 59.27 and things are looking pretty good except you get a reversal bar with a big tail (5 min bars). Price goes back to 59.81, and Bob held through that rally- Would he have gotten out if the price had made a new intraday high?
When did you get out, and what was your reasoning?

Thanks.
