you must not have any oil stocks or drillers. they all opened lower.

No, I have found that they are just too volatile for openings. I do trade them intrady though. I haven't been trading OO for that long.

i have 5 oil service related stocks...i blocked all oils due to the fact oil was down 69 cents pre-open...

i blocked a total of 12 stocks today...

oils would have worked great today but it violated my rules so they got blocked...

there's always tommorrow...:)

I go with whatever the emini S&P is at 9:25 eastern. I like to have all my orders in before 9:28. Sometimes the emini will jump around after that, but usually not more than 2-3 ticks, which doesn't make much difference.

6 fills / 7400 shares

4 long / 2 short...+528.00

- .8 / + .7 %

never...never...use a stop in BHI...(180.00)...ran my stop 19 cents to buy the high of the day and then retreated straight down...

you think i would have learned this by now...

otherwise i feel ok about the a.m. trade...

blocked nothing...

Rather than post my results for the last couple of weeks (yes, I am having a bad February, and not blaming boot camp, but I need to get back to my own office and new program....but FWIW ($1200) Feb)....I thought I would show the results of my boot camp to date:

17 Full time traders. Some have missed a day or two. Last 6 days results, format W/L/break even, and net pennies profit or loss.

10/5/2 +155
6/4/7 + 71
13/3/1 +236
10/3/0 +219
11/3/3/ +107
10/5/2 +101

60/23/15 Throw out the zeroes, and we have about 72% success, not bad for newbies...

They are only part way through their 3rd week, first week was orientation and set up primarily.

I point this out to show consistency and proof of concept. As they roll up their share size, we try very hard to keep this consistency.

And I'll get back to posting when I'm back in my own office in 10 days....but I'll keep you up to speed with the new guys.
