Hey man, props to you for scratching GE today, and anyone who made money on it. I was short 10,000 and that bad boy did not give much of a chance.
 
Was anyone short MO this morning for the really weird price action around 9:38? Nyse ask crossed ecn bids down by about 15 cents with 100 shares. He was showing a 1 lot offer at .70. I crossed him by a nickel on EDGX and got out 1500 shares at .72 and .75. A few seconds later it was trading in the .90's again. This hybrid stuff is wacky.

Nothing in MO, but similar action in CAG. Sold short at $28.00 ..program put in 25% (800 shares) to buy at 27.94, no problem, I put 27.90 bid for 500, no problem, I put a 27.85 bid in, he prints down to 27.71 for quick second and then filled my 27.85 with a 27.81 and a 27.85. Screen indicated "over-ride" (slow market)...and timing was close, but shows that there is still some good opening action.

IMO, if the Specialists do some of this right after the opening, it will work our much better for us than having "perfect" markets after the openings.

Today is partly due to noone on the NYSE floor doing much trading as well.
