My instincts on PG saved my ass. :D [/B]

PG had some news today; did you miss it or were you just going for the gusto?

2 shorts and a long today. 1 short loser and a short scratch, one long win but not enough. -120 net

Up $750...good opening today.

BTW, I'm heading out tomorrow for London-Paris for the World Poker Tour finals, but I should be' able to do the opens. And...I have an assignment from the magazines (Stocks and Commodities and Trader Monthly) to interview the big whigs at Euronext, so...if you guys have any questions that you think would be of value to traders, please PM me, thanks!!

I saw the news, but when I checked the pre there weren't a lot of trades so I left the orders in. After the gap up, when I saw that spike down, I covered @ .35. I got lucky is all.

7 fills / 11500 shares

6 long / 2 short / +786.00

- . 65 / + .85%

quotes died right on the open after orders went in...had no choice but to hit the cover all button as i had no clue where we were going...

now we are back up and the spreadsheet says p&l is over 4250 if held @ 9:09 cst...

i never would of held that long but it does make you wonder...
anyone got any ideas how to hold out longer...(insert joke here)...suggestions are welcome...

I'm bailing on half at +.10 and putting in a break-even stop on remainder. The markets have been, so whipsaw the first hour that it hasn't worked out great these past two weeks, but I haven't gotten beat up on positions where I was ahead either.

I blocked TXN this morning due to positive call last night. I'm wondering if I should just ignore all news and assume it will be reflected in the opening ????????

Seriously, use trend lines. Seems super simple, but it works. Once I get a fill and stock starts moving in my direction I will just place a line under the 1 min bar lows or above highs and try to ride as long as possible. I also try to lock in some profit. It takes real discipline. Look at 1 min charts of some of your fills and see if it would have helped. BTW, where can I get one of those "cover all" buttons?
:D
