Bumped share size up to 2000 each. Got creamed on WMT. Didn't think news was that significant. Then I tried paring it off with TGT. Mistake. I be all day trying to extricate myself from that. My worst trades are news related.

One thing you might try....punch up your stocks on the price ticker at about :15 past 9 est. I only have 11 stocks, so it's easy for me to do.
When I see a stock trading "out of line", I search news items for the reason. This made me not enter a sell on WMT this morning.
Of course, sometimes you will miss a nice reversal, but being "risk adverse", I generally don't like to fade the news on the open, as it seems it takes 10-15 minutes for price to absorb it.

Wow, what a ride in BBY this morning...opened down a buck at 54.50...and proceeded down to 54.05 in about 30 seconds it seemed. I never chase gaps like that so I held on...only made a few cents (coulda been great, LOL)...from $1500 down to $200 ahead or so, whew!...
