No orders entered in stock because of news, gut feel, or the coin flip went the wrong way.

Going electronic will likely reduce or take away alot of the edges we use to have on NYSE. Rest assured, there will be others, and we as traders will find them, and make money. That being said, transition is never fun.

in regards to blocking or not entering trades...i have found out...the hard way...better to over block and err on the safe side and live to trade tommorrow...todays example was TGT...not sure so it did not go...woulda worked though...oh well...
 
Canceled a bunch on news...I too learned the hard way many times & would rather cancel than take a chance with news stocks. The majority (if not all) of large down days on OPG are usually due to a news item. No fills today or yest. Good weekend to all.

Got price improvement of 2 or 3 cents on exits, like usual, I hope this doesn't go away when the stocks convert to hybrid. Maybe they will still do the sweeps within the first few minutes after the open. No fills yesterday.
