Don's openings and more for 2005

A great day snatched away by PRU. Friggin' crushed in that guy today. Down a couple hundred overall, despite being short 5000 PRU and holding all the way down. Damn!
 
My bad day was yesterday, got long the oils, with good size, and 4 minutes after the open my computer locked up and took another 6 minutes or so to get back up and running. At that point, my losers were down 9k or so. Ended up the day losing 12k(I tried so hard to manage those positions but the choppiness in oil yesterday made it really tough to make up any ground). I keep a very large stop on the opening trade, so when the opg doesn't work, I just turn it into an investment. :) (I am willing to give it a day or two as a swing trade to see if I can make some money back.) I decided to take some risk and hold oils long overnight and made back most of what I had lost.
As someone once said, "I'd rather be lucky than good!"

Openings have been tough lately, I think that the strategy might have to be changed a little to make good money going forward.
You are going to have to game the open, and play it that way.

No fills today as I was submitting OPG orders with a huge envelope to verify software. Would have likely ended up scratch today on 3 fills.

Trying to be consertive, in front of 36 students, take my loss in MCD (stupid, stupid, stupid)...-$400.....darn.

I would like to blame either my nervousness being in front of all these people (yeah, right, LOL), or the fact that I'm using my laptiop and a big screen projector (maybe).... but, when all is said and done....I just shoulda waited a few minutes..

Back at it tomorrow...
