Don's openings and more for 2005

I was lucky today....I did have JCP...JCP is a bastard when you're wrong. +4743 this AM, I risked at least that much to get there. I knew I wanted to short the open today, I even sold the S&P futures on the open, so why did I even bother buying equities? Sometimes I think we get so locked into a particular strategy that we forget we just need to focus on making money, and once in a while that means taking liquidity, not providing it. Even the market has been giving signs lately that OPG has not been great!

Let's hope that this is just a temporary lull, and not the beginning of the end.

Didn't trade today as I was in lovely Jackpot Nevada last night and this AM. Looks like I missed a nasty beating in KFT and PRU so glad to be gone.

Got 3rd out of 70 in the poker tournament so it must have been my night. :p Got caught in a bluff on the big stack or I'd have gotten 2nd.

Yep, don't blink or you'll miss it. You remember correctly. I was at Cactus Pete's. Only poker room in Jackpot. It's worth a stop if you happen to be passing through.
 
Tiny day on the OOs, 1 long fill, +80. Will pay my fuel and tailgating expenses on Sunday.

You're all lucky this weekend, as the Steelers/Patriots matchup will be the nationally televised game. Except, of course, those of you unfortunate enough to have your local team playing at 4 PM EDT. But that's what NFL Sunday Ticket is for, right?
