Latest word through the Gaming Underground has 11 players now bought-in at $50,000 each for today's 2 p.m. Single Table high-roller showdown at the Plaza Hotel and Casino, One Main Street, in downtown Las Vegas.

The Plaza's World Poker Classic, in conjuction with the Southern Caifornia Poker Tour, will later televise the game in at least the San Diego, Los Angeles, and San Bernadino markets, and probably the European market as well (undoubtedly due to Bob and "other brother" Earl's notoriety in Monaco :D). The WPC is also negotiating with ESPN for wider U.S. coverage telecasts.

Drinks are on the Brights for all Vegas-area traders in attendance? ... Should be one helluva birthday bash!

Well, you have to take the bad with the good on OO, today was tough. I wanted to just get short the market, and it seems that every stock I shorted squeezed pretty hard. Overall, lost about $3k on the day. I really thought today was going to be one of those days, oh well, back at it tomorrow.

On an opening that should have been kind to shorts, my two held strong against me, and my long did well. Go figure.
