Don's openings and more for 2005

Its been a long time, plus 10G on 84,000 shares.
All positions on short side. I didnt move futures up when at last minutes it gyrated up and as such my future indication is a bit lower and my shorts got hit all over. Max loss is 80 USD

Possibly options expiration coupled with the eminis getting a little wild a few minutes before the open. I've noticed on days when the eminis get out of whack with what I used submitting my OPGs three minutes before the bell, the fills are usually pretty good.
 
Yeah, everyone I know trading openings had a record day today. Market opening at new highs on an expiration friday along with the jumpy spoos right before the bell was just the right combo I guess. Still, I had way more positions than I would have imagined, 54 shorts on 104 orders.

Trading was mayhem, but everyting was good instantly. I think I was up 30 grand within 30 seconds. Just fired off random buy orders as fast as I could type. The market wasn't moving so I had time to keep plugging away and didn't panic. Cashed out with $65k on 400,000 shares traded.

Before today openings have sucked for November, I was about flat.

Nice job. looking through this thresd it looks to me that all of the big days are shorts? Is that correct?

does anybody else have a love / hate relationship with txn...

it was hard to get out of trades today...tried whacking bids and taking offers and only got partials....

only got filled on stops as i was trying to cancel them....

oh well....

didn't TXN have some minor news after close on friday?

19 fills. 100 shares each. 0.9%+/- (197 stocks entered.)

8 long, 10 short +15$

Winners TGT, HRB, S, MER, ABX, DHI, BAC, SBL, DVN, TSO, APA.
Losers: ADP, VC, TPX, SII

Scratches: DCN, LEA, ECA, ABS.

Just learnin'... Closed my last position @ 9:43... Might have gotten more fills, but don't have LOO orders... Also I got filled on SBL 1 second b4 the open?? eager specialist??

Any suggestions for a new guy??

I am guessing that the hits I took on TPX and SII have something to do with the fact that they are not part of the S&P 500? Comments please.
