I believe Don's numbers and think it's absolutely possible to do that well with the opening strategy. I made between 4-9 thousand in each of the last 3 months with the openings doing 500-1000 share positions.
Remember though that Don uses 2000 shares and sits through some hair raising drawdowns to get to his profits. The strategy is handled differently by every person I know who does it and results will vary widely. Most people have mentioned that it has been less effective over the last month, and I agree.
