How many retired Generals have "publicly" spoken up about their views of the White House that are still embedded closely with current serving Generals in both the Navy, Army and Marines ?
At least a dozen if not more. How many current military leaders have spoken up about the church prop fiasco...
two of them.
How many (percentage) of West Point students
or Naval Academy students with Democratic families...
I'm going to guess about
60%.
- Remember, the military is loyal to no matter whom is the President. That loyalty is only tested when a President entertains foreign (anti-American) individuals.
I'm sure you know about the political history of certain cities in the U.S. Their problems started from the
prohibition days when both the Republicans and Democrats were interconnected with
gangsters...many of whom were immigrants.
Simply, politics and crime goes hand and hand...its been that way since the early 1900's.
Regardless, to all the above. I only remember one other time when there was a distrust for the U.S. President...it was during the Nixon years. My old man and his buddies...all officers hated the guy and celebrated when he resigned after the Watergate fiasco.
He wouldn't have lasted that long had he not been a former Naval officer. That alone gave him
a little respect by the military versus those that never served.
Anyways, I too know many vets and current serving officers, enlisted and a few cadets. They're
not voting for Trump and I think its more to do with the political background of their families.
Most of the distrust started when Mr. Trump threaten to use active-duty troops across the country to stop peaceful protesters. I'm not talking about the riots at night...I'm talking about using them during the day against peaceful protesters that were predominantly young people, elderly, children, veterans that were protesting against police brutality.
Had he stated he was ONLY going to use troops against rioters at night that were rioting after curfew...different story.
Here's a story you may not know about but may soon here about...
There was a retired Marine officer peacefully protesting during the day. National guard showed up during the protest...getting ready for the curfew. The retired Marine Officer peacefully protesting saw his young adult son whom is serving his country too...an adult son among the National Guard.
Trust me...you don't want to split the country like that.
The distrust picked up steam when the story broke about Putin paying for a bounty on our American troops that are killed. As long as that issue is left out there and not dealt with...
there's a distrust.
You can click on the below link to see whom (Democrats and Republicans) that have military backgrounds. I haven't done the tally of the numbers.
