And, oh yes, he talks about God. He must be a bible beatin bitch cunt?
My god, critical thinking abilities are quite pathetic among some of the members of this site. What Obama said is a classical, boiler plate answer to the question. It is also quite a bit more nuanced than what the crazy bitch said. Let's break it down:
Obama said he believes marriage is between a man and a woman. When asked by Warren whether he would support a constitutional amendment to specify marriage exactly as between a man and woman OBAMA SAID NO. The rationale he gave was that historically marriage has been defined by the states and he went on to say he supports civil unions.
If you have the brains to "read between the lines" Obama implicitly said that this matter should be decided by the states (which is the way it is now). In a state like vermont same sex marriage will be decided differently than in a state like alabama (as it should be) Obama also highlighted his support for civil unions.
Now let's compare it to what crazy bitch said:
The question asked was as follows:
"Vermont recently became the fourth state to legalize same-sex marriage. Do you think every state should follow suit? Why or why not?"
And her reply was:
"Well I think itâs great that Americans are able to choose one way or the other. We live in a land where you can choose same-sex marriage or opposite marriage. You know what, in my country, in my family, I do believe that marriage should be between a man and a woman, no offense to anybody out there. But thatâs how I was raised and I believe that it should be between a man and a woman."
She did not say anything about civil unions, she did not say anything about leaving it to the states to decide, her answer was categorical and not nuanced. She did not even answer the question properly and from the way she said she was imposing her beliefs on others.
Her answer does not equal Obama's answer if you know how to interpret them properly.
