Donald Trump Keeps Up Attacks on Judge in Trump University Case

Donald Trump on Thursday escalated his attacks on the federal judge presiding over civil fraud lawsuits against Trump University, amid criticism from legal observers who say the presumptive GOP presidential nominee’s comments are an unusual affront on an independent judiciary.

In an interview, Mr. Trump said U.S. District Judge Gonzalo Curiel had “an absolute conflict” in presiding over the litigation given that he was “of Mexican heritage” and a member of a Latino lawyers’ association. Mr. Trump said the background of the judge, who was born in Indiana to Mexican immigrants, was relevant because of his campaign stance against illegal immigration and his pledge to seal the southern U.S. border. “I’m building a wall. It’s an inherent conflict of interest,” Mr. Trump said.

This is disgraceful racism from Trump. I am a Republican who has voted for every GOP candidate since Dole in 1996. I will probably vote for a 3rd party candidate this year.
 
If you are of the view that Trump only exists to throw the election to Hillary, then this type of rhetoric is expected.
Now does he still travel further down the racist path to dissuade the undecided to vote for him or does he flip his positions and go full democrat to push republican voters out.

Now I would have agreed that as a Presidential candidate what trump is doing is questionable... a decade ago. But... now... how can you argue with the fact your team has politicized everything to divide the country. Trump is just not going to sit there an act stupid.

(CBS News) In the escalating battle between the administration and the judiciary, a federal appeals court apparently is calling the president's bluff -- ordering the Justice Department to answer by Thursday whether the Obama Administration believes that the courts have the right to strike down a federal law, according to a lawyer who was in the courtroom.

The order, by a three-judge panel of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the 5th Circuit, appears to be in direct response to the president's comments yesterday about the Supreme Court's review of the health care law. Mr. Obama all but threw down the gauntlet with the justices, saying he was "confident" the Court would not "take what would be an unprecedented, extraordinary step of overturning a law that was passed by a strong majority of a democratically elected Congress."

I am not on the Democrats' team and never voted for Obama. If Trump thinks the judge is biased against him, he ought to explain which specific rulings have been clearly wrong. His lawyers could file a motion to get a different judge. Besides being racist, talking about a "Mexican" judge is unpersuasive.

Both major candidates have terrible flaws. I am not going to give Trump a pass because Hillary has lied about her emails, Benghazi, cattle futures trading profits, and countless other things.
 
I have to admit I was directing my comment to covertibility who is a democrat defender...

I did not mean to make it look like I was going after you... I took exception to the comment in the article, not the fact you were posting it. I apologize.

What lies? I'm serious. I keep hearing this but absolutely no proof is given that she lied on any of these things.

Hillary is one of the most crooked crony capitalists in American political history.
