Donald Trump made history on Thursday when he was convicted of more than 30 felonies in New York. He then immediately went on a fundraising spree in which he cast himself as a victim of a rigged system.

But putting his own fundraisers out after the guilty verdict wasn't enough, according to a new report. He's now warning fellow Republicans to keep away, Politico reported.

"Donald Trump’s campaign is sending a blunt message to down ballot Republicans who are looking to fundraise for themselves off of the ex-president’s conviction: Back off," the outlet reported. "Trump’s political operation views the guilty verdict in the New York hush money trial as a small-dollar goldmine — so much so that they are warning other Republicans not to raise money off it and siphon off money that could otherwise go to the Trump campaign.

The article goes on to quote Trump co-campaign manager Chris LaCivita, who reportedly said that, "Any Republican elected official, candidate or party committee siphoning money from President Trump’s donors are no better than Judge Merchan’s daughter... We’re keeping a list, we’ll be checking it twice and we aren’t in the spirit of Christmas.”

Yes, I was watching Fox News when that happened. It was hilarious because for a second as they were getting away from the b.s. speech...I thought they were going to say we have "important breaking news" or maybe Putin/Jinping/Jong Un/Netanyahu will file a joint grievance with America about Trump's 34x felony convictions.

They are outraged.

You make it sound like he committed no crimes, therefore his conviction is political, a witch hunt. But those are merely emotional formations of his followers' minds—he was convicted, upon review of the evidence, by a jury of his peers, a jury that was vetted by his own defence. Any patriot of the American way has to support this process or they are letting their emotions get the better of them, and it would be they who are making him a martyr.

Of course I'm not referring to you, as you're a libertarian and would not reflexively support the conservative party or condemn the liberal party.

Guess Fox News does not want to get sued again for shoveling election conspiracy bullshiat on their airwaves.

Remember, unlike the other networks, they are under a legal settlement to not peddle election misinformation -- otherwise they will be owing even more to voting machine companies.

Here's another one....if stuff goes their way , then it's God's great plan for the nation and everything is fair , but if it doesn't then the system is corrupt and everyone must pray , because a guilty verdict was not God's plan.


Franklin Graham's call for prayers after Trump hush-money verdict.

Evangelical leader Franklin Graham this week asked his followers to pray after the man whom he supports for president was found guilty of falsifying business records to cover up hush-money payments to an adult film star.

Posting to Twitter shortly after the verdict came down, Graham wrote that "our country is at a crossroads" and added that "What we saw today has never happened before, and I think for the majority of Americans, it raises questions about whether our legal system can be trusted."

Graham's point in this regard is technically correct: No American president has ever been found guilty of falsifying business records to hid an affair with an adult film star.

Trump is also the first president in American history to have been impeached twice in the House of Representatives and the first to have been indicted for alleged crimes ranging from obstructing government efforts to retrieve top-secret national security documents from his property and for trying to defraud the United States by trying to illegally remain in power after losing the 2020 election.

Trump is also the first president to have been found liable by a jury for sexual abuse and defamation for his interactions with writer E. Jean Carroll.

Regardless, Graham argued that Trump's plight should prompt Americans to pray for the future of the nation.

"Pray for our nation, for God‘s guiding hand that this republic will be one nation under God with liberty and justice for all," he wrote.
