Donald Trump flawed? On every front, Washington is worse

Fine, let's wait for the real vetting to begin and pass on the Rove-style whisper campaign character assassinations. And when the other side can't make anything meaningful stick, then they should STFU.

I agree. The national campaign will be a lot more big league for Clinton, as she won't be able to hide.

Fair enough. Just curious: do you think Trump would hold up better under such scrutiny? Be serious.

Fred, I've been serious this whole time. You may not like my answers, but I'm not trolling you with them.

I think Trump has undergone the highest level of scrutiny as anyone running or has ran. Both party's leadership teams hate him and they're doing all they can. Donald, of course, continues to provide the ammo for his own scorching because he keeps saying stupid things that he should think about before opening his mouth, but that's what a CEO does - especially one who has been an egotist his whole life. I don't anticipate the main campaign to be any different, at least insofar as the media is concerned. He's going to continue to be attacked from left and right, and he's going to continue to provide the fodder for them to run 24/7.

Okay. I'm guessing the true vetting of Trump has not nearly begun in earnest.

The best is yet to come, and won't that be fine? (With apologies to Frank Sinatra.)

It's hard to imagine what stops haven't been pulled yet, but if you believe it, only time will tell how correct you are.

My thought is the republicans have done their best to crush Trump and have pulled everything they can (they even showed his wife naked in the latest Utah ad for Cruz)...I'm not sure what the democrats think they can do to "up" that game. Now Clinton, on the other hand...that's a different story.

Evidence that both the Dems and Repubs are actually "two sides of the same face". Both parties are sanguine about any ANYONE to be POTUS who is part of the "in crowd", regardless of party... and that ain't Trump.

America NEEDS to vote for Trump... at least with him, we have the HOPE of not descending into Venezuela/Cuba type of governmental tyranny.... for a while, anyway.

:(

A conversation that Trump had with one of his people was overheard. It's all coming out. He's being vetted.

Trump: Hey, i'll tell you what. I bet I can not only Make America Great Again, I can destroy Canada at the same time.
Other guy: Ah, I bet you can't do that!
Trump: Let's make a bet on it.
Other guy: How much?
Trump: One dollar.

I like this vetting stuff.
