Donald Sterling is a Democrat

This is not like Romney because Romney's speech was public and as such there was no expectation of privacy. In this case, the girl's lawyer was quick to state that Sterling asked her to record all conversations because he is senile, thus overcoming California's two party consent wire tapping law.

So they banned a senile man for life for something he said. lol

The left and their race ranting can always find a new level.

So the guy gets banned for life and fined millions of dollars for what he said in a private conversation? We're witnessing a modern day lynching by the PC police. No court of law. No trial. No nothing. String'em up. We're headed down a real bad road here.
Of course this makes me a racist for expressing concern about freedom of thought and speech, as well as privacy.

While I agree, a man who is in the public eye like that has to be cognizant of the things he says, period. Otherwise stuff will happen - business partners he has will back away from him, sponsors - if he has them will withdraw, etc. Politicians, actors, singers, famous businessmen, all are subject to the commentary they spit out. If the guys is senile, he should get a nazi publicist that checks everything the man says with a fine tooth comb.

Such is the world in which we live in - a world where everyone is more concerned with the smell of everyone else's dirty laundry, and no one remembers "let he who has not sinned cast the first stone".

People suck, unfortunately.

EXACTLY!

Is there some sort of legal precedent for the NBA to be able to fine an owner for private speech?

Pretty sure that the NBA, like the NFL can do whatever it wants with it's private members and owners.

Yup. That's what we do in Obama's America to senile old white men who are suspected of thought crimes.

Suspected? I believe he opened his mouth "and removed all doubt", as the old saying goes.
Google "donald sterling alleged" dumbass. The lynching started way before anything was confirmed. In fact, some accounts are still calling his remarks "alleged."
