I heard through radio broadcaster Brian Craig that Don Jr. has called for an end to the Bud Light / Anhauser Busch boycott. Apparently, Don has said that Anhauser has been a good brand mostly throughout the past and has not been too devoted to this new ideology, and that the most recent goof may be due to a high up officer who took matters into her own hands.
Brian Craig will officially not say anything against President Trump, and officially extended the favor to both adult Trump sons. I don't extend the same favor but i do agree the boycott should end, people should maybe listen to Don Jr., maybe not for the same reasons.
This could really backfire on the right by reinforcing unnecessary stereo-types. Yah it was funny when Kid Rock blasted a six pack with a 50 caliber machine gun, but it's important to remember that what the Bud Light CEO with Dylan Mulvane did was neither illegal, nor immoral to the point it ought to be illegal. Forcing women to compete in sports with recently switched sides males who still retain muscle mass and residual effects of a lifetime of natural testosterone uptake IS the really screwed up thing, and ought to be illegal. The logic is simple, most sports are classified by age, weight, and other factors that insure the playing field is level and fair as possible. Boxing is the most obvious example of this. The other logic is it's not even fun to watch sports between so-called competitors who each in their own way don't have a chance to win.
I've long been in favor of male-to-female transitioners to be able to compete in beauty contests. In that arena, they are least likely to win, and so, would likely deserve any placement they can achieve. I would encourage any Trump, Don Jr.?, to stage a rather national beauty contest where contestants are not required to disclose what they host below the bikini. Any contestant who can achieve as high as fifth runner up should get a Girl Card that she can carry into any restroom she wishes.
I advise the right to save their powder for things that really matter, like surgical alterations for persons under 18, chemical alterations under 18 only with parental approval, and active indoctrination at schools which makes life harder for parents. Also teen take-overs, shoplifting, and general bullying. No, we don't need to agree that males can get pregnant, but only that some could adopt. The last thing the right wants to be seen as is a mob that bullies Dylan Mulvane, and by extension, all male-to-female transitioners, just for pretending to be what they say. THAT would feed a nasty narrative that can be exploited by communists.
James O'Keefe has come really close to crossing this line of possibly being seen as a bully, by jumping Mulvane somewhere in a Beverly Hills hotel, and asking her about all the m2f trans who have managed to get into women's prisons and rape them. That's not Mulvane's fault, it's the fault of state congressmen and prison officials who don't require m2f prisoners to pass a beauty contest before being allowed a Girl Card to get into the women's side of the prison system, preferably a contest voted on by the women themselves.
There are trans people, and there are radicalized activists who are exploited by neo Marxist fascist communist revolutionaries hiding everywhere. Just as there are black people, and there are radicalized activists who are also exploited by Democrats. Most trans are just trying to live their life free of the turmoil of politics. A few of a vocal minority are about to make life harder for them by smearing the genre.
The Dylan Mulvane Bud Light commercial does come down to what the CEO declared just a couple days ago, to wit, that they are really just in the business of bringing people together over a beer. That's all the ad did. It pictures a m2f trans who is willing to sit down and have a beer with you, despite knowing absolutely nothing about sports. And ended the conversation politely with "I love you".
I'm not sure where image imperative comes from, but male image is as strong an imperative as anyone's image imperative. But let's say a lot of this imagery comes from a fear of Biblical law and order...the assumption that sexes were decreed by the almighty, cemented at birth, and enforced by punishment of law. To those "people of the book" (mainly of the three Abrahamic religions) i would remind one of those three faith cultures that their own book explicitly charges that, "There is neither male nor female in Christ". In other words, all gender roles are just that, a role, to wit, "All the world is a stage, and we, men and women, are merely players" ~ Shakespeare.
For the die-hard Biblicists, only Christ is true. Men aren't true. Women aren't true. Trees aren't true. Bees aren't true. The seas aren't true. And...Bud Light is not the truth either. As someone once said, Bud Light is water identifying as beer. Other people have said worse.
I was once told by a Biblicist that if he liked vanilla ice cream, and said he liked it, that would be "the truth". We would all be better off taking each other less seriously. The right should keep it's eye on the, uh, ball.
