I really don't get why he is so coy about this year's performance. My guess is that he made around 600K, which is short of the goal of 1 million, but still pretty damn good.
Although %-wise he went back to the pre-2008 (outlier year) average of ~30% annual return, what is again, pretty damn good, specially if no big DDs present and if the capital is big enough.
So I think he really want to repeat the 1 million plus per year performance and since he realized that 2008 was an outlier, he plans to increase the size, so he would achieve the 1 million even with a 25-30% return.
Don, those are really just numbers! As long as you make a comfortable living and since you are already established in your life, enjoy life a bit more and trade fucking less.
