D no bother, try daily/1 hr, use 1 hr for entry. I am sure you know one of the hardest things to do in trading is waiting for a pullback to make an entry into a trend. I would also recommend trading only one pair, maybe EUR/USD, watch it till your eyes bleed, it generally has the highest volume of all the pairs due to retail trading on most retail Hubs. If I may ask, who is your broker? Look at yesterdays and todays action on EURUSD in the daily and hourly, see if you can spot entries and exits.

The Ever Helpful VIPER

Its Daily + 4H for currencies AND Daily + 1H for Equity/Indexes.

1H (and lower frames) for currencies are gone. They just don't work for me.

It took a while to sort this out.

Did I learn anything from Course #1 at the School of Hard Knocks?

Not a damn thing! :)

-------------------------------

I was wrong. Delayed realization ... Course #1 was well worth it, money well spent.

My Daily chart method fails on 1H and lower, but appears to work well on 4H.

So when I continue trading I shall put this to the test on 4H. That's my next step.

DX Long = EurUsd Short = stance of this thread .....

during my absense EurUsd short went my way, but I had no trade, so didn't profit from the stance.

So I continue from where I left off - almost 100% losing trades, a losing trader who has not yet found his edge.

Since I'm on D/4H the next trade might take a while to get initiated.

Puerto Vallarta should be high on your list. Skip Mazatlan and Acapulco but Isla Mujeres is a decent enough choice. For a non-beach location, Oaxaca is #1, San Cristobal #2. Rent a car and drive thru' Chiapas to top it off.

I'm done. Time to move on. Last post.

Only one tip for any fellow newbies .....

Don't place anybody on your Ignore List.

Prosperous New Year to everyone.

Request mod(s) close the thread.

:)

riveting.. too bad you got stopped out. It was a great call for your eur short, but as you already found out, don't try to catch the knife..

The USD run is just the beginning!

If Soros is here on ET, he'd probably tell you to go for the jug.
