i am reading "when genius failed" and am at the part when at the 11th hour (moments befor ltcm would be bankrupt) he faxes in a half page offer to buy the assets(worth 5 billion at the beginning of the year) for literally nothing, fucks all the partners out of their deals, with a note that the deal expires in an hour... the guy is sharp...

i was actually thinking that would have been a genius big money play.

i am shocked the market is not reacting to this really... some pretty big levels were violated
