Quote from jack hershey:
It is one of the most amazing things in the world that in most all cultures there is no formal learning on how the body works. It takes quite a while to learn to listen to the internal organs of the body.
You probably cannot list the body's senses, for example. Do you know how the ones you can think of work and connect? No you do not. Getting, informed, as you state, about the brain is still an untouched subject for you.
What would trading be like if a person knew how he worked? physically or mentally????

Jack, that is quite interesting. Is there any literature on the subject that is worthwhile reading? Thanks.
Let me give it a shot.
The mind and the senses go back a long ways.
Aristotle gave five senses and left out the balance sensory system.
Here is a batch that I refer to because it is how things work.
I have a psychiatrist and we work in two ways. I kept appointments and we worked on areas of interest (He and I were part of a team where we worked together). Read his book "Coyote Healing" and read another team member's book "Health and Healing" and the team's immunologist's book, "The Self-healing human.
I like this batch because they are personal:
"First, Break All the Rules",
"Now Discover Your Strengths", and
"Knowing How to Know"
Consciousness is a topic in all of this, so read:
"A Universe of Consciousness"
"i of the Vortex"
"The Quest for Consciousness"
So far everything is mostly localizationism. Sort of the long time CW of the mind.
the DANA Foundation is a good source of what's cooking, so I recommend the following:
"The DANA Guide to Brain Health",
"Neuroethics: Mapping the field" 2002 conference proceedings,
"Advances in Neuroimaging", Progress Report 2006 conference Proceedings.
They have a library too and there it makes available:
"The emotional Brain", and
"Synaptic Self, How our Brains Become Who We Are"
At this point, the papers of many persuations become important and it is good to not shut the door on anything. My experiences in Switzerland (JI) and the U of Mich Psychiatry and Ed Depts. (via ASAGA and the UCSC) was very cool. Today you can learn a lot by reading the survey:
"The Brain that Changes Itself", and
Look into one spawn:
PositScience's "Brain Fitness Program"
Their program participants interact at
www.CognitiveClub add the usual .com
For myself, uniquely, Lewis ("Coyote Healing") made up 8 tapes, an hour each, using shaman heritage where my systems and system parts are a village that goes back to the village's origins. I was there an relaxed (like a shaman's hypmotism) to experience the tap's creation. This more personal that the sweat lodge cleansing rituals.
You can spend years on this.
localizationism was not interested in giving any creadance to neuroplasticity just as the AMA types were not interested in integrative medicine just as the CW of the financial industry will not yield to other algorithms.
I was enabled to explain our algorithm by coaching from others. that happened over time. As it turned out, to trade I built my mind. At the time, how the mind worked was not known or accepted. Naturally, since I was made aware of how I worked (in several stages), and since I had worked with Lewis and Sanna (Susanna Ehdin), the immunologist, I finally during the last stage of learning how I worked, I was able to connect the critical timing and sequencing and rep rates for affecting transference to deal with the key of obtaining sensitivity and not having tolerance thrust onto the scene.
Expertise, from a mind point of view, is sensitivity oriented and not tolerance oriented.
Just to see the difference (and not relate specifically to expertise), examine two people here who exhibit tolerance as needed to do what they do.
Tolerance is defined as needing more and more, metally to get the same past result.
Look at trader28 and his obsession.
Look at a search of CL Cheese and read the dozen or so posts in chronological order. Here you see how trading CL is done by a person who has "tolerance" mentally to get the job done. He explains tolerance, for him, by two images he names. My reply to his critique of me is an expression of how sensitivity overrides the tolerance if the correct fork in the road is taken.
As a shortcut timewise, Doidge (The Brain that Changes Itself) is a good narrator, LeDoux (Synaptic Self How Our Brains Become Who We Are) has the pics, and Ehdin makes the health points in terms of immunology.
It has been an amazing experience. To have plucked this and that, here and there all my life was sort of a CPM trip.
I knew I was equipped from testing..being flat...let me play anywhere....how I grasped to differentiate all the time is amazing in retrospect... My ME instructors were gracious and let me use EE symbols.... theoretical physics was just organization theory and by then I knew I could memorize total mainframe logic and play the console to debug ASAP... I did mainframes and trading as parallel learning.... repping logic was automatic... just like building onions.
I got to work with Schumacher.....Bucky...(the pic in Time or Newsweek?? was my old office. (UCSC).lol)...EOP.... coming up with the EIS for environment and the PHA water interference tables and the PL 92 500....lol ..continuous fermentation for alcohol ....coal alcohol porcupines...(you get five times faster coal burn and reformed gasoline....lol)
The copier and the PC made it really happen for making money.... It is so funny that people do not see that the daily multiple is what it is ...and all turns are telegraphed in advance (WMCN, etc..)....cruising the whole day long....
Have fun. Soon you will know where drills came from and why.... and why learning is a work process to build the mind. AND why people filter themselves out of the Algorithm.
