Dogecoin rolling along.

I was not able to replicate my success mining bitcoins with this new setup mining dogecoins, actually it has been a complete failure. Reason being dogecoin lost 85% of its value since I started mining.

I have already turned off the rigs a few weeks back, just need to find time to goto the warehouse and ebay off all the video cards to salvage some $$ back. Looking at a few k loss which isn't anything, more upset about the time wasted setting all this up.

Planning to go back to bitcoin mining using the new 28nm that are just released, got about 6TH worth on order to be delivered eom.

Why not roll that rig into mining other crypto currencies that are still viable via GPUs? Then just exchange it back to bitcoins...

Good question unfortunately not realistic.

1) there are no other crypto currency that's profitable, ltc is also in the slump, the few others that looks profitable are so illiquid you take a big loss when selling them, and the prices change so much day over day you have to constantly monitoring them to make sure you are still profitable.

2) asic scrypt are coming that will destroy gpu mining both in term watts per mhs and mhs per unit, just like it did to sha256 despite the fact it is more resistant. For example the below miner is 40X more powerful than everything you see in my photo while using a fraction of electricity.

3) less learned here is to stick with bitcoins, alt coins just isn't competitive no matter what that troll pekelo keeps insisting how easy the barrier of entry is to copy bitcoin.
