Dog lovers

Nearly everyone I've known who put a dog down swore to never have another. Few weeks later most have another. It just becomes part of you life to have a dog.
Makes me miss my beagle who I put down a couple years a ago. She was a cutie.

After 26 years of having dogs I now only have a cat. A dog is coming in the next year or so when I'll have more time. Kudo's to anyone who adopts. Please support your local shelter.

I have pit bull labrador mix of breed. He is from the shelter. When he is just only maybe 3 months old he go to the shelter because he is on the street. I adopt him, and he is so sweet.
My brother have mastiff mix of breed. He take the dog from the taxi driver from NYC that live in NJ. The taxi driver have really small row home in the city. The taxi driver took this mastiff puppy when he is small. Then the puppy grow so big when he become 1 years old. So the taxi driver do not realize how big this dog will be when he first take the dog when he is puppy The taxi driver know the dog need to have exercise and can not be in the city apartment. My brother take the dog from him. He is so big, but he is very smart, and the mastiff mix is very loyal, and he is docile. We love him. So now we teach him to understand commands.

Here's my buddy putting up with my shenanigans a few hours ago. We're both pretty much dorks. Probably why we took to each other so quickly.

When he goes, I'm going to be a mess. :(

Quote from Big AAPL:

You know, I've had 2 dogs in my life that went 16 years apiece, and after the last one passed, I figured that was it, I am done breaking my heart. My kids grew up with our last dog, a mini shepherd, and as they matured and moved out, I figure it was time to worry about nobody but me (and my wife of 30 years). My niece allowed us to babysit a pair of Chihuahua's twice a year, dogs that I had no particular affinity for. I considered Chihuahua's annoying, yapping, bug eyed rat dogs that were simply a pain in the ass. But these dogs were different, well behaved, quiet, and fun to be around. My wife fell in love, and after a two year exhaustive search, we rescued a little girl that has won our hearts in a short amount of time. Three pounds of absolute monster and kisses. Let's hear your touching "I love my dog" story.

When are you going to show us a pic of a dog? ;)

I had a Newf for 15 years. The key to longevity for large breeds (and small alike) is large daily doses of CoQ10. AFAIK my Newf was the oldest that the AKC was aware of at the time.

400mg gel caps, twice daily and you'll add years to the dog's life.

great tip atticus :)

I have a giant schnauzer which has just turned 10 and gone deaf :(
wonder if at this age coq10 would still help..
anyways, I'm going to give it a try ..

Dogs are great. They give total support and love.
They get one out even in the rain for a walk. Never complaining. Always happy.

Cute dog!

Chiuahaus are good to their owners but no one else...

I answered an ad for a vacant apartment while in college. The landlady told me later she was nervous when I got out of my VW bug with such big hair, but she decided to rent me the place because her Chihuahua, Tequila, "took to me right off". Marge said, "she never takes to anybody". And then Marge had the nerve to complain that I taught Tequila to bark in the house. Doubt it.

:D

Absolutely, it should. Good luck and let me know. Fed by hand like you're giving the dog a heartworm cap.
