Does Volume precede price?

Of course I am quite mad, but I find it more helpful in quick cowardly scalps to see exactly where the market is, as opposed to the last tick. The tick may be firing off at the same price as before, but that price now represents the bid whereas before it was the ask, and vice versa. A delusion, perhaps. Jack would need no such visualization.
