I actually grew up in gaming family, all were involved in more of business side of it, illegally of course, but never the less, gaming is never going to go away and where I grew up, they now have it. But you learn probabilities so you can come up with proper odds etc...So after I moved, I was flying to Vegas every weekend which was weekdays, several casinos still had one deck shoes and you learn to count cards. I have a few friends who are still professional players in Vegas, playing 500 hands an hour of video poker in high roller rooms at best odds casinos, one gal has had two losing years in 25years and it wasn't much. Most of them have made out big by those cards you put into the machines then buy whatever to sell on ebay. I never played much live poker cause I know I be the sucker at the table, LOL. Most can read me like a book.
I flew back and forth for six months and became like work, was profitable, rooms food shows free, just gets old. I still love going to Vegas but never play games as I play a better game at home Monday thru Friday. But I love the shows and eating foods don't get back home for couple days. It is more of getting away and seeing friends. By far the Entertainment is the best and located there eventually. But playing video poker for a living, you have to be a Sadist, cause you losing so many hands, but royal flush plays 4800 to one, and what all seek, a good year you nail that five times a year.
