Does the firm that makes/licenses Ninja and TT get a royalty on every trade?

Or do they get paid per license seat?

I'm asking specifically for futures trading, such as Ninja with ZenFire, or TT Pro.

Are the brokers charging $1+/contract side going to the software vendor? Or some portion thereof?
