For futures volume is not as important - for equities it is extremely important - it is the only thing out there that leads price.
No. it has no bearing. Price can move with little volume or not move with bundles of volume.

I've watched / studied volume for some years and as a longer term trader have come to this concludion. For EOD charts, volume has limited applications. I usually just want to know about abnormally high vol spikes and times of very low volume areas.
Intraday, again spikes is all I care about.
Looking at volume which is just average range, it tells me absolutely nothing and has zero ability to mean anything for me.
